Pengalaman memeluk Islam seorang rakyat America

Salam,

tersentuh hati aku menbaca cerita abang ni. Mustafah Davis. Menarik. Don't mind the grammatical errors k.

Today, while out with my family at the Ashby Flea Market in Berkeley California, I ran into a man who changed the entire course of my life 15 years ago. And he did it with a smile and one simple question.  I have no doubt in my mind that had I not met this man on that cold day in February, that I would either be dead or in prison.

15 years ago while on my way to a college class, I ran into a familiar looking guy who pointed at my shirt and said "good looking out" and stood up and shook my hand.  I was sporting dread locks, wearing a Haile Selassie shirt, baggy jeans, suede Pumas, sunglasses and a Sessions snowboarder jacket.  I was the quintessential hard to label California Bay Area pseudo hip hop hippie skater. Happy because of my rasta shirt he guy said to me "Hey I think I know you dude, we met at such and such a place. My name is Whitney Canon (who we now know as USAMA CANON)." I answered in the affirmative and we struck up a conversation and realized we had several mutual friends.  This "chance" meeting would prove to be "one of two" of the most important random occurrences in my life.

Strangely it ended up that we had the same Spanish class together and ended up sitting next to one another. Over the course of a few days we learned that we were both musicians / artists. Usama had the code to the piano room in the music hall so we'd sneak into the room and sit and play music for hours and talk about spirituality.  We did this just about every day for an entire semester.

Jazak ' Allah sahaja atau Jazak' Allah Khayr (+)?

Sumber: http://www.turntoislam.com

Salam,

Berikut di ambil dari sebuah forum:

Many Muslims have now gotten the Habit of saying Jazak'Allah. But what does it Mean?

Jazak'Allah Means = " "May Allah Grant(or give) you"

It does not have any meaning to it, if it is said just like this.

You Have to Add something to It like for instance Jazak'Allahu Khair which Means "May Allah grant you with Good" This has a Meaning or:

Jazak'Allah Firdaus which Means "May Allah Grant you a High Station in Heaven"

If you only say Jazak'Allah it doesn't have any meaning to it.

Also you can not Say Jazak'Allahu Khair Insha'Allah. It is wrong, because when you say Jazak'Allahu Khair you are saying a Du'a and it is forbidden to say Insha'Allah after the Dua.

A Muslim should be firm in his du’aa’, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“No one of you should say, ‘O Allaah, forgive me if You wish, O Allaah, have mercy on me if You wish’; he should be firm in his asking, for Allaah cannot be compelled.”

Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 6339; Muslim, 2679

p/s: Tapi dalam forum tu ada jugak yang cakap begini:

Seriously though.. Although I always say something after jazak Allah, I have no trouble accepting it by itself as an implication of something good/bad... and it does have a meaning; still; regardless.. It's according to the context. For instance if someone does something nice to me, and I say "jazak Allah" with a "smile" it can only imply that "jazak Allah with something as good as what you've shown me."... However, if someone does me wrongly and I'm really upset about it, I can tell them "jazak Allah", and in this context I mean "may Allah grant you the same as you've shown me."

It's the genius of our arabic language.

- Jadi, boleh ke x kalau sebut Jazak Allah shj (jzk)?
-atau mmg kene tambah something di belakang spt Jazak Allah Khayr (jzkk)?

Just nak share.

Kenapa? Sebab aku adalah pelajar, yang sedang belajar.

Wassalam
